BUNCHE BEACH

This 731-acre facility is a natural tidal wetlands area that is located on San Carlos Bay. It is a pristine, completely natural area that is indicative of the area before the introduction of exotic plant species, it is Old Florida.  It is for passive recreational day use and has no features or amenities. Parking is limited to a small ¼ acre sandlot with a few additional sandy spaces located along the entrance/ exit roadsides. All other areas must be accessed by foot. This is living ecosystem that ranges from a sandy beach to Mangrove forests to salt flats and contains a wide variety of wildlife for viewing and offers great photographic opportunities from the flora & fauna to fantastic sunsets. No fees charged for use at this time.

ESTERO ISLAND BEACH ACCESS - NORTH
Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931

These 5 beach accesses, #37 thru 41, allow foot traffic only (no parking), to the Gulf of Mexico. They are located between Lynn Hall and Bowditch Point Regional Parks, north of Matanzas Bridge on Estero Blvd. Colored banners on poles designate the number and where the entrance is located along the road and by signs on the Gulf side. There no amenities, only trashcans and "Butt Bag" dispensors, take a bag or two along with you as you go, for your trash disposal or to just help with beach clean up. Have fun and enjoy!

BOWMAN's BEACH
Sanibel, FL 33957

Isolated and picturesque, this beach is probably the most popular on Sanibel. Great shelling and amenities make it worth the five minute hike from the parking area to the beach. Adventurous beachcombers can walk for several miles on unobstructed white sand beaches covered in shells. The shoreline at Bowman's Beach has experienced little of the intense development seen on the rest of the islands. Amenities include picnic tables, pay phone, bathrooms and bike racks.

RUTENBERG PARK

Rutenberg park is located in South Fort Myers one block east of MacGregor Blvd. between College Parkway and Cypress Lake Drive. This 40 acres community park has a football field, 3 baseball fields, 8 tennis courts and 2 racketball courts. The park also has a playground and public restrooms.
